Sajal Ali has added another accolade to her achievements by receiving the Tamgh-e-Imtiaz for her contributions to the entertainment industry.
The actress, known for her role in “Mom,” was bestowed with Pakistan’s highest civilian honor on Saturday, March 23, 2024, during the commemoration of Pakistan’s Resolution Day at the Governor House Punjab, located in Lahore. The award was presented by the Governor of Punjab, Baligh Ur Rehman.
In a widely circulated video, Sajal gracefully approaches the stage to accept the honor following a brief introduction.
With the Tamgh-e-Imtiaz badge pinned to her sleeve, the “Alif” actress turns around, striking a pose for the cameras.
Sajal Ali earned the Tamgh-e-Imtiaz recognition for her portrayal in the Zee5 web-series “Dhoop Ki Deewar,” where she advocated for peace between Pakistan and India amidst regional tensions.
The honor was conferred upon Sajal Ali by the head of state in recognition of her contributions to the field of acting.
In 2021, she also clinched the FilmFare Award for Outstanding Performance.
For the ceremony, the “Kuch Ankahi” actress donned an elegant long anarkali frock in off-white, adorned with silver sequins.
Following Sajal’s reception of the prestigious award, her sister Saboor took to her Instagram story, sharing a boomerang capturing the joyous moment as Sajal looked at her phone screen, beaming with a smile.
In addition to Sajal, Adnan Siddiqui and Juggan Kazim were also honored with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.
